📅 1993 : Bill first kicked off for ‘Gram Panchayat’.
📅 1996 : ‘Women Reservation’ Bill drafted by H. D. Dev Gauda (United Front Government)
📅 1998 : Bill re-introduced in 12th Loksabha but opposition stalled it.
📅 1999 : Bill re-introduced in 13th Loksabha but opposition stalled it.
📅 2002 : It moved the Bill again amid pandemonium but opposition stalled it.
📅 2003 : The Bill was introduced twice in Parliament but opposition stalled it.
📅 2004 : Vajpayee Ji, blamed Congress for stalling the Bill.
📅 2004 : Before elections, UPA included Bill in common Minimum Programme.
📅 2008 : GoI (UPA) tabled the Bill in ‘Rajya Sabha’ so that the legislation does not lapse.
📅 2010 : ‘Rajya Sabha’ passed the Bill (BJP in Opposition).

Lok Sabha voted on Bill only during ‘Atal bihari Vajpayee’ Government. Despite, UPA remained in Center but never introduced ‘Bill‘ to ‘Lok Sabha’ during its 10 Years of tenure while BJP in Opposition was ready to support the Bill. ‘Lok Sabha’ never Voted on Bill post 2010 as well ..

📅 2018 : Modi led ‘NDA Government’ is introducing the Bill to ‘Lok Sabha’ for the 1st time ever as per 2014 Manifesto Promise.

Yesterday Congress President ‘Rahul Gandhi’ have written letter to Center in regard to ‘Women Reservation Bill’. Today Congress had actually tie-up with All those who have always opposed the Bill. Fact remains that Seriousness & Hypocrisy of ‘Congress’ towards ‘Women Reservation Bill’ could be easily seen in 20 Years of long journey.
